Matriculation day was awesome! So was Symposium haha XD

For matriculation they went thru with us the courses, lessons, trips bla… Then we met our class ppl and our seniors and Psls! Man the seniors and psls are crazy… but in a good way haha

So yea played double wacko, splat…was it? Yeah… Quite a fun time, our class isn’t bonded just yet, but it’ll surely be! After all the fun and games we got back and… BORING. So not gonna blog abt the unwanted stuff.

Wiki meaning of Symposium! Is above. Basically supposed to be the prize presentation for VIP students… and they sure made it fancy haha Definitely not cheapo. Then the students had their presentations of what they learnt in their classrooms, so Hans and me went around and met a lot of crazy seniors… okay not a lot… ALL. I can imagine what I’m gonna be like soon…

Later the seniors and girls from my class went out for movie. Our class guys totally pang sei me la. THANKS GUYS! I’ll try to name the seniors names… David (SIAO), Ramesh, Samuel, Prati, Lim si, Sanjeev I can remember them le yay Haha…

2012 was epic. its so epic that I’m not gonna blog abt it. Yeah, cool uh. If u wanna know, watch it for urself… its worth it

We’re playing shadow again. Its like some dumb game where you find a black (Indian) and copy his/her actions and snap a photo to show the similarity and the difference (You know what I mean ) Its kinda mean yea… So blame Daniel. He taught us this… haha XD

So yea I’m blogging again. Its the holidays yet I dun really like it. Seems like a first for me apparently… Guess I’m turning into a “Go out” person eh Just that I’m not able to haha… Oh ya finally tmr can get out! Going for a movie with IP Pals. Agnesh, Harish, Nachiket… Somehow I feel like i’m being slammed into an Indian group all the time but… Skin doesn’t matter eh Haha… Kinda contradicts the game we play above but yea.

The movie we’re gonna be watching is… 2012. Great. We just have to watch a movie predicting our deaths. Thanks guys… Ruined the excitement of the real thing for me…So yea, this show’s a SPOILER of our deaths, pretty cool huh haha XD How interesting can an Apocalypse be? I’ll be able to find out tmr I guess… Provided I don’t fall asleep throughout the movie. Dun blame me! The Aircon’s too shiok… So’s the chair.

Recieved an Email for the VJC Matriculation day… Couldn’t they use simpler words? I dun even understand Matricu…wha? Sounds kinda cool tho haha. Its supposed to be a day where we settle the Admin stuff for our transfer from Sec 2 to IP1 Can’t wait. Haha Even the classes are out! I’m in 10v11! Same as Agnesh (Smartest guy in VS, or maybe close to the top) and Jason! Yay Hmm… I still wonder how I got in. I’m seriously curious to ask the panel abt what made them choose me haha Guess I’ve got some talent after all! Kinda Sad couldn’t be in came class as Horatio and Harish or Nachi but yea… We’re sure to make new friends haha

Oh ya the class list… Something about that list bothered me and after looking at it for long enough… here’s what I found. 125 students in total, Only 2 Malays. Yea, wow. Here’s another. All the classes’s Genders are perfectly split. Except for 1 class… For all ‘cept 1, there are 10 guys and 15 girls per class. Yea… Guys are the minority here now… A huge diff from VS haha Lots of questions now in my head… “How are the ppl there?” “Will I be fine?” “Why can’t it start earlier?” Yea… I’m excited haha

I’ll need to take Higher Chinese next year tho T.T No time to slack le haha XD

Usual stuff again bla, went to church in the morning got to Atomic svc on time… And was greeted by… an EMO Ezra. Yeah, shocking eh, I never thought I’d see him like that He said he was having trouble paying off certain bills, lost his phone and all… Well, haha he got better after that

He started getting better after we played with those beach balls… Yea, its weird but it did the trick! What meant to be a prank for Joylynn became help for Ezra At least he’s okay For now. Haha, just nidda pray that he’ll resolve his problems!

Then… CET. Man it was an awful and LONELY CET for sure. Even Joel wasn’t there this time so it was really all alone for me… At least I knew the teacher, Priscilla haha Oh and Andre and his zone ppl were there too so yea… I guess it wasn’t all that bad

Youth Svc! We met our new pastor for the first time today (For me at least…) And! He’s kinda funny actually! Haha, His jokes are super easy to catch A direct and funny speaker… Just what I like! Haha

We wasted time as usual after service… doing nothing and just chatting among zone ppl. It’s like some tradition haha, our zone always has to be the last to leave Maybe its cos we love this place too much eh! Haha

Oh, Boon Kang got suanned like a punching bag man! He’s pretty strong a guy for not crying haha Okay, I’ve gotta stop making fun of him but… Omg. Is disturbing Boon Kang a temptation? GAAAAH! Boon Kang is really asking for it…

Worst part of the day. Wanna guess? No dinner? NO. Go home alone? NO. Here’s the epic part… No keys? YA. GG! Worse still my parents were out. Even the tenant wasn’t home… Her name’s Keat Hwee by the way… A poly student. Apparently she’s gonna become a nurse? Yea I think so haha

So after wasting about 1 hour downstairs doing nothing… Except psp haha XD They finally got back! Man… so here I am now at home… Its only when you start to lose things, then you realise how dear they are to you. Gotta hold all these close to me, never letting go!

Oh. Found a game that made me angry.

Heard of Stepmania? The game where you play dance dance revolution but on ur pc? Well if you haven’t then… Get out of that rock you’re living under! Nah, jkjk haha, that game isn’t even well known.

So yea this game’s Typing mania. That should give u a pretty clear idea of what it is…

If haven’t gone off and started playing already, it’s a Flash game I stumbled upon tonight called “Typing Mania 4″. Now the only reason why it gets mentioned here is because it features a very nice assortment of anime songs, which will be the ONLY thing keeping you playing after awhile. For those of you with 100+ words-per-minute typing speeds, I wouldn’t get overconfident too quickly because most of the lyrics are in romaji (ローマ字) and there are quite a few quirks…

Err basically, I copied that off somewhere… but yea. Its a game for u anime geeks. Maybe you’ll love it, but… I’m kinda starting to hate it. Just give it a try and you’ll understand…

The holidays have started… its the time I supposedly was longing for since… God knows when. Yet, when it’s come, I can’t help but feel a void -.- Yea, its boredom alright. Haha, the killer of all holidays, the lack of ‘Busy’ (Its grammatically wrong I noe )

Damn, the computer screen’s so glaring at night. Hold on… I’ll dim it. There! I just noticed something about my eyes… My eyesight’s close to perfect in the morning, but by afternoon… It deteriorates till about 100 for my right eye. Left eye’s still crystal clear! Okay, not that good but good enough.

So yea, I’m stepping outta the school I spent 2 LONG years in… The laughter, nonsense, the jokes… Can’t imagine its gone haha No wait. I’m even more shocked by the fact I even get a chance outta VS. Just look at this:

Atomic svc…same la haha Ezra always disturbing ppl… Joel errr, being unenthusiastic… OH YA He damn sabo sia. Play with paper plate then become my fault… Grrr. Lunch was at Macs, the new monopoly thing’s addictive la haha I got one Instant win! But gave it to Ezra haha, he was kinda starving i guess OH. But it got us late for CET. Super PS la, when walk in late… Know ur church Stand’s and Practices…

Youth service! We had the Generation Band over for our P&W…and…IT WAS AWESOME Seriously a great band! haha Ps Andrew… I love his style of preaching Simple and clear yet funny

• Philipians 3: 12-14

^“12Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.
¹³Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,
¹⁴I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”

Quite a meaningful passage eh? What this passage basically says is that he has not yet achieved perfection, but only focuses on ONE THING: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead!

One phrase which she used that I liked was “In life its not about how you START, but its about how you FINISH” <– Pretty meaningful eh

Forgetting what lies behind…

Now, you may ask… “WHY?”

Simple reason…

• Our past successes limit us!
  

Yeah, I understand that success is a good thing!

But think about it, lets say you’ve achieved a certain grade for your test (80% Score).
You’ll probably have this mindset : “Hey, that’s not a bad score! Since I can already do so well, why not I slack la, next test confirm oso so good de! “

This leads to… Complacency! Which really destroys a lot of talented people.

Another example : Remember the story of Moses, in Egypt? How they took 40 years to get out of the desert?

• “God led the children of Israel out of Egypt in a few days, but it took 40 years to get Egypt out of their minds”

This means that even though God was willing to get the Israelites outta Egypt, they were still holding on to their past, complaining about the better living conditions in Egypt…

“Let go of the past”

Always remember to not cling on to the past!

• Our past failures limit us too!

Being demoralised is what prevents people from moving on as well.

Thoughts like “I’m not good enough” or “I suck” are the killers which stop people from moving on as well.

• “I never failed once, it just happened to be a 2000 step process!” – Thomas Edison

Its all about a matter of perspective. You dun have to see failure as “Bad”, often, people learn more from their failures than their successes! Remain optimistic, and you’ll be sure to accomplish more

• Reach forward to what lies ahead

Press towards your goals! Focus!
Fufilling our destiny and not getting distracted!

Not getting distracted,  that’s important!

Possible distractions:

• BGR (Kinda a big issue)
• Video Games
• Peer pressure (Friends who discourage you from studying)
• Personal Hobbies… (These take away valuable time as well, do in moderation, not too little, nor too much)
• ANIME (Yea, U KNOW I’M TALKING ABOUT YOU! So dun ignore it!)

Todays paper? Oh luckily it only required one string this time…but ! History’s a physical test as well as mental. It requires GREAT MUSCULAR Endurance for your hands. For me it was worse, I not only needed to use my right hand, but my left hand as well! WHY? My table kept JERKING! Yea, the legs arent stable. So my right hand scribbling and my left hand balancing the table! Dang! Do my hands hurt…

And I thought musical instruments were tough. haha XD

Today’s exam?

Oh it was Chinese paper 1, a 2 hour long session… Super SIAN leh! Write finish then nothing do le… I think I had like more than 30 minutes extra la. Remember my battle with the 1 string I mentioned yesterday? Well, today it was 2! I had to struggle with 2 strings instead now! And oh, here’s what I did. Since there were no Single holes, I had to use the 2 holes at the side of the writing paper (Ya know, those holes for filing…) So I attached my Composition to the Letter writing.

Suddenly…

Teacher: “Guys! Remember that you DON’T ATTACH the composition to the Letter writing! “

Me: *Head slams on table* “THANKS A LOT!”

Couldn’t they have told me that earlier? Oh yea, and I wasnt given another string. Isn’t that just awesome I mean, if u DON’T want me to attach them together, WHY GIVE ME THE STRING!

Oh and I beat Derek le! He tied 10 times? I TIED 20 HAHA!

One other good side is that it sets you thinking… Yea, thinking real deep. Even more deeper thinking than my math paper this morning

Something frequently mentioned is the “Chessboard thinking” method…
Yea, like What the heck is this man. Its like you relate your current situation to a chess game, with the set of rules, pieces and board.

This thing called flipping over the WHOLE BOARD, is basically looking at things from a different perspective…

For example: A murder case occurs whereby you’re linked to it, and you’re desperately trying to Solve it. First thing you’d do is probably think of what the Killer would have DONE, but, the what if the killer had already thought that all out and used a different tactic? Its kinda like reverse psychology, but yet it doesn’t yield all that much of an answer, but still narrows down your options to fewer than before.

All these critical thinking and analysis of situations may be useful but… GOSH DO THEY WASTE TIME.

Yea, I dun even know WHY I wrote out all this crap. Probably just to pass time (I know i’ve got an exam tmr kay) or make you waste YOUR TIME reading this!

Oh yea abt yesterday’s post… Gosh I forgot what I was gonna write… so yea, forget abt it.

Hmm today’s paper uh. Well it was kinda okay, haha with a bit of rush towards the end cos I was like slacking off halfway Oh yea. Had this weird feeling… Like there was someone or something that was telling me the answers… Its like all of a sudden, OH! THIS IS HOW!

Well the hardest part of the paper for me was… Not any of the questions (Dun say WTH yet)! It was the dumb string. Can u believe it? My school makes us tie strings to our paper in order to attach it. Boy did I have a hard time with that string. ITS TOO SHORT MAN! Spent like 10 minutes to just tie 2 miserable knots! 2 KNOTS!

GAAAAH! 5 more papers with that stupid string… GREAT! Derek claims he could tie 10 knots! HA! I’m gonna tie 20 tmr then! Just u watch… I’ll tie a string that will look like a ball.

Hm? The questions? Gah. I forgot all of them already la… I mean like…WHY BOTHER remembering something like dat! I really can’t understand why people like to discuss answers after the exams… -.- Let the teacher’s do the marking la. Worse still, some fight over which answer is correct…

I mean, there’s like an answer key SITTING IN the teacher’s office, and here you are quarreling over a question. If u want the answer SO BAD, ASK the teacher!

Errrr…what else to say uh. OH! I just caught a pirate mouse in mousehunt! Yay

Oh yea… Other schools have already finished their exams… AND I’M ONLY ON MY SECOND PAPER TODAY!

WHY AH WHY MY SCHOOL SO SLOW! ISNT VICTORIA A GOOD SCHOOL? IF SO THEN WHY CAN’T IT KEEP UP WITH THE OTHER SCHOOLS! Grrrrrr… Oh thats great! people in facebook are like “YAY MY EXAMS ARE OVER!” Thanks a lot uh Victoria!
